We continue to see Argentine boys wearing formal First Communion outfits in the 1970s. We even still see white gloves nd the fancy sleeve bows, but not all boys had them. This was a boy item, the girls did not wer them with their desses. . We note both white and colored suits, both light and dark colored suits. There were both short and long pants suits. The stylish cut of short pants became shorter in the 1970s and we see some boys with short-cut short pants suits. This was a popular style in Europe at the time. The length of the shorts was also affected to a degree by the age of the boy. The length of the shorts, however, varied a good deal. There does not seem to have been any standard length. These outfits were similar to the First Communion suits American boys wore, but the ones with short cut short pants were more ofa European style. White knee socks were very common, even with dark suits. But we also see dark knee socks. Some boys wore white shoes with white suits. Black shoes were mmuch more common. We evcen see white shoes with dark suits like the boy on the previous page, but this was not very commonl. We see most black shoes even with the white knee socks.
