Here we have what looks like a painting of an unidentified family without any attribution. We can usually find the artist of a well done painting like this by doing a Google image search. In this case various artists come up when we ran it--some of them implauaible. We are guesing this is English, perhaps the 1840s, but we aren't at all sure. There are seven children, actually six and an older teen. You might think the oldest sunject in the yellow dress is the mother, but she is way too young to have so so many children. There are four boys and three girls. They look to be about 2-18 years old. The boys have a tighter age range, about 3-13 years. The younger boys wear tunics, the older boys wear cut-away jackets. The girls all wear dresses. The boys wear more muted colors than the girls. We see browns and grays, ut no blues which were popular for bis. Here we also see green garments. The artist does not seem to have made up his mind as ine boy's tunic.
