The style of the mount, however suggess that the portrait was taken in the 1900s. These narrow format cards were especially popular in the 1900s. Theerl.y 1910s is posible, but the 1900s seems more likely. Carles is done up in white. Je wears a white collar bow, white tunic, white bloomer knickers. wjite long stockings, and white shoe with little white bows. Details are difficult to make out in this all white outfit. Although difficult to see, it looks like is wearing a white Eton collar.

Although difficult to see, it looks like is wearing a white Eton collar. The collar bow is modest in size compared to the bows we see in the 1890s which also helps to date the image. There is a studio imprint, but it is difficult to read. I think the town is Norwood, Massachusetts.
