Isom Children (United States, 1920s)

Isom children
Figure 1.--This 8x10 portrait of three American siblings shows three siblings. Notice how in the 20th century, especilly after World War I we begin to see smiles in these family portraits. The children are Janice, William, and Muriel Isom. They look to be about 5-11 years old. The girls wear summer dresses and large hair bows. Their little brother wears a long-sleeve white shirt and small bow tie. The portrait is undated, but we would guess was taken in the 1920s. We think hair bows were most common in the 1910s, but here we still see large hair bows in the 20s.
