Here we have an English CDV portrait of a mother and her two children. They are named but the writing is difficult to read. It is something like Mrs. J.. We will load the hand wrting for readers who might care to try to deciper the writing. The children look to be about 10-13 years old. Johnny wears a vested, cut away jacket suit with long pants. He has a small white collar and simple ribbon bow. His older sister wears a white dress with all kinds of ruffles. He has a boater hat. His sister has a much larger decorated hat. The portrait is undated, but the pointed corner suggestsd the 1860s. We would guess the late-1860s. Mother seems budled up in a coat and bonnet.
