I think Jeans may have arrived in Britain earlier than most people think. Here we see my Scout troop in 1953 on the beach. I was 12 yeasts ols at the time. Those are English Boy Scouts. And if you look to the left there is already another Scout wearing jeans. The jeans I wore were traditional Levis, his the trimmer English style which I think looked better. Both were available at the time.

The photograph here shows my Scout troop at the beach about 1953 when I was 12 years old. Those are English Boy Scouts. And if you look to the left there is already another Scout wearing jeans.
