Paarl Boys' Primary School: Sports Progran--Rugby

Figure 1.-- Here we see the Paarl School rugby uniform. Paarl has a sports program similar to a British prep school.

Paarl Boys' Primary School is a boys only school located in Paarl, Western Cape. It is a public school, although we are not entirely sure what that term means in South Africa. The School still is exists and like many South African schools has an active sports program, rather like a British prep school. The winter sports are rugby and hockey. Rugby is a popular sport inn South Africa. The school has strict rules about sports kits (uniforms). Here we see the rugby uniform (figure 1). For practise the boys wear any shirt or rugby jersey, any shorts, and bare feet. For matches they wear the Paarl school rugby jersey (available at the school), dark blue rugby shorts, and bare feet.
