Characters

The boy who saves the world is called Stephen. I am confused as to the relationship of Capt Jack. David calls him uncle. I think Stephen's mum and dad are in the Torchwood Team. Stephen's mum is called Rhiannon Davies. She survives but Stephen's dad who I think is called Johnny dies when Captain Jack tells the 456 Alien that the world is fighting back.

Cast

Stephen is played by Luke Perry.

Plot

Aliens known as 456 use them to tell the world they are coming. The series is about alien's who want to abduct British Children for recreational drug use. The children never die but remain attached to the Alien for ever. The Alien's want 10 percent of the world's children. If the world tries to resist then a deadly virus will be released killing all human kind. Thus the aliens get what they want. There is not much choice but to comply and 80 percent are gathered but the 456 Aliens require the full quota. It is not just British children doomed but also the world. It just happens that the series that the focus is on British children being rounded up and transported to the departure points. It is susposed to be happening world wide. The 456 Aliens return 40 years later for the 10 percent of the world's children. Earth fights back but the 456 Aliens demonstrate their power and the resistance crumbles. Government ministers with families shoot their children and themselves. The United States is miffed because the aliens chose Britain. The American Military person takes over command. The British Prime Minister says he is lucky that happened because he can put the blame on the US. However the civil servants under him make sure that everyone will know the double dealing character he is for not taking the final responsibility for the situation. Families flee with their children but there is no hiding place. The world was saved by an 11 year old boy. The savation of the world is through its children -- particulary one boy who is the young St George who defeats the Dragon. Unfortunately he dies saving the world, but not before forcing the alien's to flee back to their own part of the Cosmos. It was a thriller but the end was a bit of a cop out. In the end America did indeed buy time for Captain Jack to find the solution for Earth to win the day. Thereby saving American children as well as the rest of the worlds youngsters from captivity. A guy had been searching for 40 years for a radio fequency breakthrough. The young hero found it in 30 seconds. There was only 10 minutes to go. The hero was a time Lord who could not be killed after it was all over he zoomed off into the Cosmos. Then with 5 minutes to go before the TV programme ends Captain Jack - a time Lord from a distant planet -- twigs the weak link. Sadly it is his grandson who holds the solutuion. He has a fine singing voice and can produce the deadly frequency which is death to the 456 Aliens. The boy starts sing ing the notes of the frquency and this is taken up by children all over the world. The frequency drives 456 Aliens mad and they flee Britain, taking with them the nasty virus. Sadly the frequency is such that it kills Captain Jack's grandson.
