School Wear at an Individual Primary School: Unknown School (1931)

Figure 1.--We are not sure about the name of this school, but we have found a class of first year children taken in 1931. There is a board that reads, "Herrn Oberl(ehrer) Lallatin aus Dankbarkeit - one word - von seinen 1931 entlassenen Schülern". We are not entirely sure what that it says because it is a bit confusing. The teacher is apparently Herrn Oberl(ehrer) Lallatin. The children look to be the younger boys at the school
We are not sure about the name of this school, but we have found a class of first year children taken in 1931. There is a board that reads, "Herrn Oberl(ehrer) Lallatin aus Dankbarkeit - one word - von seinen 1931 entlassenen Schülern". We are not entirely sure what that says because it is a bit confusing. The teacher is apparently Herrn Oberl. Lallatin. Is Dan Kabarkeit a town in Germany. The children look to be the younger boys at the school. A translation would be something like "Mr. Oberl. Lallatin thankfulness from his 1931 dismissed pupils. The text doesn't seem to make much sense for the class of youngsters because they were not dismissed. "Entlassen / dismissed" were pupils (from a Volksschule in 1931) who were fininidshing, much older children than the pupils here. The children fininishing would be about 14 years of age. I supose it is possible thsat the older children wrote the message and it was re-used for other classes, e.g., the youngsters. Or, may be that the teacher was retiring and the school prepared a gift to Mr. Lallatin with a collection of class pictures of his pupils Then the use of the verb "entlassen" does not seem very appropriate, "letzten/last" or "früheren/former" would have been correct. Difficult to know.
