Panamanian Schoolwear



Figure 1.--This school photograph looks like a seconady school. The photograph was taken in 1937. We have no information about the school, but the boys picture are wearing elaborate military uniforms. We do not know if all the students wore these uniforms or if it a band or cadet group within the school. The image coding suggests the school is located in Chila and the boys are " bomberos " or firemen, perhaps assisting the local fire department. The boys are, however, wearing different styles of uniforms.
