We begin to see what might be called modern fashion trends after World War I in the 1920s. We have a studio portrait of a boy with his pooch which also has a bow. There is writing on the back which may have his name, but we can't read it. He looks to be bout 6-years old. We can see that it was taken in 1926. We are not sure how to describe his hat. He has a wide white collar worn with a large bow and what looks like a Norfolk jacket. He has knee pants worn with white three-quarter socks and starp shoes. Knee pants were ecolving into short pants, but the ornamental buttons at the knee hem were still often used on suit pants. We alsosee fewer children wearing lomg stockings. In the 1920s long stockings became more of a swaonal garment, worn mostly for warmth during the winter.
