Suits continued to be a standard garment for boys in 1916. We note a Sears catalog page for younger boys suits, titled 'Very Pretty Styles on Suits for Little Fellows'. The age range was 3-9 years, but this varied slightly with the different styles. There were some suits with a juvenile look with sizes down to 3 years. These tended to be done with knee pants. There were others styles like the suits for older boys with sizes beginning with age 5 years. These suits were done with knickers. The images are slightly confused with neck wear which were actually not part of the suit. The juvnile-look suits have collar buttoning styles. The older bouys suiys have the tandard lapel styling. The oldest sizes are for 9 year old. This agerange for hunior suits was 3-9. Gradually over time this would become 2-6 years. Age 6 is imprtant because that is when school begins.
